Week 5.

We’re having fun with Doodle Bags this week. The idea is to make a plain boxy pencil case out of very heavy canvas and then colour it in. Some have written snippets of poems and inspirational quotes on theirs. Others have drawn wild designs of flowers and hearts or skulls and crossbones. Still others have collected the signatures of everyone in their class. I must remember that one for the end of the year – it might stop the Year 8s drawing all over their PE shirts.

This one was left plain on purpose. He’s not really into bells and whistles. It does, however, have a very tidy little money pocket on the inside.

It’s amazing what you can find if you look deeply.

That’s fabulous and the little pocket inside is a wonderful surprise. I’m so impressed that a year 7 or 8 boy sewed to that standard (I’m in awe and a teeny bit jealous). Great idea to keep it plain for personalisation.
