Getting Started Early

Planning ahead for Fathers’ Day. Making a wintery version of the business quilt with scraps of woollen fabric, old skirts and cast-off jackets. This is Fergus’s take on the whole thing.

Some navy squares, lovely blue greys and a couple of surprising bursts of aqua. It took quite a while to find the perfect binding but he’s very happy with that extra splash of colour. The back is a muted blue stripe from Fabric Vision. He would have been happy with fleece but I quilted the whole thing to make it extra special.

I was inspired to start my own in navy and cheery reds. So simple but so colourful and warm. It’s near the top of my list of holiday projects.
