Old Linens.

Kitchen curtains and ruffly window things to be precise. I loved the reds and blues together, not to mention the crisp, clean practically unused condition of them both.

The curtain was cut into bags and the ruffly thing into linings.

They’re so bright and cheery. The plan is to use them for grocery bags.

The jury is still out, however, on the green mushrooms.

  1. I love when people repurpose things like this. Great j ob.

I love the fact that patterns and colour combinations I would have dismissed out of hand a few years ago are now coveted and look fantastic (wallpaper is another great example). Your bag is divine. And you’ve gone to the trouble of making it reversible.

  3. what a fantastic bag! 🙂

    Way nicer than Trelise Cooper’s….

  5. I would love to put my groceries into that bag – so much nicer than my manky green nylon jobbies!

  6. Oh darn , and i left a kitcheny fabric apron in the shop, cause I wasn’t sure what to do with it, last week. Not as crisp as this bit of fabric though.
I bought 2 red gingham aprons with the bonneted lady crocheted in the corners, though. Maybe I could incorporate them into something…
