After whining on about how expensive thrift store blankets were getting and how the colours were all bored-rigid brown checks, I have to take it back. This queen-sized pure wool bright red blanket was discovered hiding away behind all it’s smaller, uglier cousins at Savemart today. With a very tiny price tag because of the frayed satin binding and a couple of tiny moth holes near the edge. Which don’t matter because I’m going to cut it up anyway.
And just as a final shut-upa-ya-face, there was a large piece of barkcloth covered in red tulips and carnations to match the lovely blanket. Bark cloth. Yep, that’s me, not saying anything…
Oh wow, very nice finds! Love the barkcloth and the blanket is the perfect colour. What will you be making?
